In the last week of January, the project TORNADO held its kick off meeting, hosted in Athens by IOTAM INTERNET OF THINGS APPLICATIONS AND MULTI LAYER DEVELOPMENT - ITML as the project coordinator.
The aim of this project is to develop a groundbreaking cloud robotics system for the navigation of an autonomous mobile robot in handling small, soft or deformable objects, within complex and dynamic environments, such as waste processing, building gears in a machinery factory, and providing palliative care to patients. CDSL's role in leading T1.3 is to provide a comprehensive legal and ethical framework for the development of the TORNADO system, create risk-aware guidelines, and monitor the consortium's efforts toward adherence to legal and research ethics standards.
