C-PAID (Cloud-Based Platform-Agnostic Adversarial AI Defence Framework) plans to create a flexible, cloud-based framework to protect AI applications from cyber threats. It will defend against different types of attacks by using advanced techniques like AI-driven anomaly detection, privacy-by-design, and explainable AI. Ultimately, c-PAID aims to build strong, certified AI systems that prioritize security, privacy, and ethical standards across real-world applications. The project will run from October 2024 to September 2027 and brings together 17 partners from 13 different countries. The kick-off meeting was held in Athens on October 22 and 23.
The CDSL’s role in the project will be to address ethical and legal concerns by examining the role of EU-level frameworks, such as the GDPR and the AI Act, as well as monitoring the use of data, aiming to ensure it is processed fairly and legally, and strictly only for the purposes of the project.
