On December 7-8, 2023, during the poster session of the Global Data Law Conference Series at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, jointly organized with the University of Passau Research Centre for Law and Digitalisation (FREDI) in Munich. Ying Lin and Vagelis Papakonstantinou presented their research on "Personal Data Transfers of the EU and China: A Comparative Analysis." This study explored the evolving landscape of data protection regulations in the European Union and China. Their analysis provided valuable insights into the differing rationales and legal frameworks behind these regions' data transfer rules, highlighting their global impact and potential for future cooperation.
